About our machine

  • Model: FDS CUT50
  • Power: 220V
  • Needs to be connected to compressed air to operate

Safety

  • Eye protection: Shade 9-12 (depending on intensity of arc)
  • Wear protective clothing: leather gloves, leather apron, cotton clothing. (no polyester/synthetics!)
  • Clear the area of all flammables
  • Avoid "blowback", which happens from either moving too fast or cutting in the middle of a workpiece rather than the edge

Maintenance

  • The consumables may need replacing after using for awhile. There are 4 components that wear out:
    • The ceramic cup
    • The metal electrode
    • The metal contact tip
    • The ceramic ring
