- Max temp: 2300F (do not operate at this temperature or higher. it is an old kiln and high heat will wear it out faster)
Setup Checklist
- Safe Location - is the kiln at least 30 feet from any combustible items? Is it in a safe location where it will be undisturbed?
- Inspect the kiln controls - do the switches turn on and off normally?
- Inspect the heater coils and bricks - is everything intact?
- When turning on - check the heat of the plug and cable. Is it too hot to touch?
