this page to describe the RFID Tool Access system.

Current tools on this system are the Laser Cutter and the CNC Milling Machine.

RFID badge is required to turn tools on that are part of this system.

This system will prevent unauthorized access to certain tools prior to receiving training or a safety checkout.

How to operate:

  • Swipe RFID Badge on the reader for the tool.
  • When it beeps, turn the power switch on for the control box within 5 seconds.
  • The main power for the tool will be connected.
  • When finished using the tool, turn off power to the tool and the control box (where applicable).
