Safety

  • Secure the handle before using
  • Don't put your hands near the rollers, roller adjustment area, or canvas
  • Keep your hands, hair, and clothes away from the roller, carriage, cables and moving parts
  • Don't operate switches with wet hands
  • Don't insert hands or body parts into any opening

Tips

  • Don't use the roller with extremely stiff clay or other materials
  • Don't overload the roller with too much clay at once
  • Don't use sharp tools to cut clay on the canvas

Maintenance

  • Canvas cleaning:
    • Remove the canvas belts from the roller assembly periodically to thoroughly clean them with water and mild soap.
    • Check for any tears or damage to the canvas and replace if necessary.
    • Make sure to fully dry the canvas before reinstalling.
  • Roller cleaning:
    • Wipe down the rollers with a damp cloth after each use to prevent clay buildup.
    • For stubborn clay residue, use a soft brush or a clay cleaning solution.
  • Alignment check:
    • Ensure the rollers are properly aligned to achieve even clay thickness.
    • Consult your manual for adjustment procedures if needed.
  • Lubrication:
    • Periodically lubricate the moving parts of the roller assembly with a light machine oil as specified in the manual.
  • Thickness gauge check:
    • Regularly verify the accuracy of the thickness gauge to ensure consistent slab thickness.
